dear friends,
It was the summer of 2017 and this was the 150th birthday of Canada. This was such a spontaneous trip I never expected to see the views I saw what a great way to commemorate the beautiful country I live in. On this trip we saw many breathtaking moments of mountains, lakes and just how vast and grand mother nature is. It made me feel so small in a world so big. I was also blown away by God’s beautiful creations. I have never seen such stunning views of nature and this really put me in my place. What also made this experience special was I got to go with just my mom. For the first time I lived life with her in a different context where routines and responsibilities weren’t the priority.
I look back at this trip and it was full of awe filled moments but it was also a way for me to get to know my mom better. Despite the difficult days we had at home growing up but this just reminds me that we are both human. It opened me up to a new perspective where I could have more grace and care for her as her daughter and her friend. Despite our physical distance i have never felt so close to her before because through the ups and downs in my life she has always tried to be the stronger one. During this season she couldn’t stay as strong as before I had to step in as a friend i felt happy and grateful to be able to be there for her.
I know you will probably never read this but I love you mom forever and always thanks for also being my friend during the good and even the bad. I hope to bring you on another trip just you and I in the future so we can learn about each other even more. In the meantime I’m just thankful to share with you my happy and crappy even when it’s through a phone.
happy mother’s day ♡
love,
nasya
